Is the first consultation free?

Yes. Surgical Associates of Southern Texas offers free consultations. Call 713-955-9191 or request one above.

Do I need a referral?

It depends on your insurance. Many PPO plans do not require one, while some HMO plans do. Our team can help you check when you call.

How soon can I be seen?

Same-day and same-week appointments are often available at our Katy and Sugar Land offices.

Which insurance do you accept?

We accept most major plans, including participating Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare plans, plus Medicare. Cash and self-pay options are available.

Medical emergency? For severe abdominal pain, a hernia that is firm, painful and will not go back in, heavy bleeding, chest pain or trouble breathing, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use this form for urgent medical needs.
