Meet Dr. Murtaza Shakir
Murtaza Shakir, MD
Dr. Shakir is a board-certified General Surgeon and Surgical Oncologist serving patients in Katy, Sugar Land, and Greater Houston. He completed his medical degree at Aga Khan University, followed by General Surgery residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and a two-year Surgical Oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
His additional fellowship training informs his approach to both common procedures such as hernia repair and gallbladder surgery and complex abdominal and cancer operations.
